New post is up
So as you all know I’ve recently joined up with Glossy Box. The first box is pretty cool. I’ve added some pictures. Now on to box two!
I was hoping that this box would “WOW” me like the first one did. However, that wasn’t the case. Now before you think I was dupe I wasn’t. Packaging was beautiful like the other one. However according to the pamphlet I should have gotten 5 items. However I only got 4 items. So I figure this is an easy fix I’ll call or send out an email to tell them. I’ve called them for a week and no one called me back. I’ve e mail them as well and no one bother to get back in touch with me. It’s pretty insulting being that I’ve paid for a service upfront for 3 months and when they make an mistake that could be easily fix they refuse to take my call or e mail me back. So if you are planning to buy from them just be careful
Glossy Box: Like my last blog 1- being the lowest and 5 the highest
I’ve added links to the companies where you can read more about these products.
Oryza Beauty: Lipstick Lido
It’s a cute color. It’s dusky pink nude color. It’s good for a natural fresh blushed look something you could wear for work, causal or day event. I like the ingredients some have Shea Butter and Pomegranate. Ti does glide on very smooth. If you want to have it last longer I would suggest putting a little setting power after your first coat wait a minute or two and then applied a second coating of the lipstick I’m giving this 3. Mostly because I’m on the fence with this product. I have to wear it a few more times before I move up the number
Jurlique: Rosewater Balancing Mist
I have other products from this company and it’s one of my favorites. Especially when it comes to face care. I should write a blog about this company. You can find Jurlique on Amazon. Rosewater Balancing Mist is so refreshing and does add an nice summery glow. I have been carrying it everything with me. It smell beautiful. I know that this can be used for setting make up, before and after Honestly I’m using it before, during the day and after my “face is done” LOL I’m giving this a 5 Trust me ladies you will love this. It’s a great gift for yourself and others.
Afterspa: Amazing Makeup Remover
OK ladies, this is going to be your new best friend! All you need is water! That’s it! I love this product and kept wondering why haven’t I’ve heard of this sooner? This cute makeup remover is pretty awesome! All you have to do is add water. That’s it! It’s so soft. does an excellent job taking off my eye makeup. I also feel this is age friendly. Let’s be honest a lot of these companies want to force on women under 25. It’s gentle for all ages. Which to be honest after 40 some things are harsh for our skin. Because our skin is aging and we’re in-between stages of life. But this company Without question this is a 5 ;)
Luscious Cosmetics: Camera Powder
The colorless Camera Powder does make your foundation look flawless. It also help fix my imperfections and fine lines. You don’t need to be in front of a camera to feel like a model with this item. I’m looking forward to trying other items Luscious Cosmetics sales. They are a 4/5 It’s hard to say. I really like it and it’s borderline loving it.
The Item I didn’t get was Leighton Denny :(
I’ll be honest I was looking forward to trying this item, because I’m always doing my nails. I’m disappoint that Glossy Box hasn’t gotten in touch with me about it.
SO that’s is my review for second box. I’m going to be doing reviews on my other beauty boxes soon. So keep an eye for them. IF you are a member of Glossy Box me know. Tell me what you think of the these products if you have tried any of them.
Until then ladies,
Stay Awesome!

First Glossy Box
So as most of you know I have an addiction. Some might think it’s shopping, music, movies, food shopping… (Yes, I said it twice lol) Others might have thought it’s handsome men watching…(Well, that’s like a hobby like bird watching HAHA) But truth IS I love makeup. (shoes is the other one ;p) I love trying different looks, enjoy watching youtubers putting makeup. Getting a makeover, samples, etc. I love to look natural, to classy and depending when and where even crazy (never trashy) My love for makeup started around the age of years old. My parents bought me make it your self makeup kits. I’m talking old school early 80′s barbie style. From the time I was able to wear make (back in my days we waited until our teens) and colors were limited I always wore my “Go to colors” But these days with so many brands out there, different ways to express yourself with colors Sky’s the limits Ladies!
I have a few different subscriptions which I will be writing about. Sharing my thoughts on these beauty subscriptions. Especially if these are good for women over 40! I’m over 40 & proud of it. I’m glad to see my generation embrace our age. We aren’t like our grandmas. Even our mothers who are now grandmother’s are looking amazing with out any medical procedures. Not there is anything wrong with them. Personal I would love to get lip injections and some fillers around my eyes and forehead. But I can’t afford them. (Well explain on another blog)
Let’s get started. Glossy Box offers 5 premium beauty products every month worth over $60 dollars. I signed up for buy 3 boxes for $58 plus one free. Plus Free Shipping and Handling. I added the links on Glossy and each item I’ve tested so feel free to check them out. Also Glossy Box offer great deals. And if you are a member of Rakuten you get cash back. I’ve been waiting to see if Glossy will live up to the hype that I’ve been reading on Instagram
When I got to the box itself I knew that I was going to be in for a real treat… The pretty in pink box with blush pink tissue paper tie up with a black ribbon is very chic. This packaging sophisticated and chic. As you can tell I really like there packaging. I tend to save boxes for arts and crafts projects, storage and these boxes themselves (aside from all the products) is great to use as a present/ gift box (Christmas and Birthdays) ;) Let’s be honest pretension is everything! From a scale from 1-5 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest, I’m giving them a 5!
The pamphlets: Ladies let be honest, after 40 we know that sooner or later we are going to need reading glasses. One of my problem is, I’m just like my mother who is always losing them. lol Unlike some other beauty boxes the pamphlets have tiny print that you can’t barely read the product information with reading glass and a magnifying glass. And if my nephew is around being he’s only 10 I have to bribe him to read it for me. (Not for an all American Boy lol) Imagine my delight this pamphlet actually have normal size print. The way the print them balance out of darker and lighter shade that flows well with the pictures of items.Unlike some other beauty boxes they offer one page writing as much as they can squeezed on an 4X6 size paper. On a scale from 1-5 pamphlet is 5
OK, OK let’s get down to “Nitty Gritty” The AWESOME ITEMS!
5 full side items:
“Lux Be A Lady” (shade’s name) I love this color. it’s a neutral shine soft brown earthy color. It would be approved by The Queen of England for the all the Princess could wear on the list. HAHA (The Queen would hate me I love loud both bright and dark nails HAHA) It’s has a creamy texture with a full brush. Also this product doesn’t have a storng odor like some other nail polish have I was able to do one hand without having to re dip for more polish. However I suggest that 2 coats per nails will make them look like you got them done at the saloon
2- Sleek MakeUP’s: Sun Is Shining Eye shadow Palette
Has an array of back-to-basic soft nudes, subtle golds and warm peach shades, perfect for chic daytime or nighttime fun! 12 shades of mineral based higly-pigmented Long lasting trust me you don’t have to worry about touching up while at work. During the day have a matte look and before going out on blend those colors. These intense color pay-off! FYI, the price is GREAT! $12.99 which is prefect for us ladies who can’t afford $150 for eye-shadow palettes. This brand truly cares about quality
3- Emma Hardie Purifying Pink Clay Mask:
OK this is a sample size. But it goes a long way! Aside from being a little on the thick side make sure you put it one lightly. It’s works amazingly well. Putting it on makes me feel like I’m at a spa. You can feel it working. A deep botanical-rich exfoliate purify pink clay mask that: exfoliate, detoxify balance, and refine pores. Scale from 1-5 I’m give it a 4 My reason I have another clay mask that I like better. But this would be on my top 5 list of face mask for sure.
4- Invisibobble The Waver: I got the clear. Which is good for any women at any age. At first glance I thought it was going to be flimsy especially because I have very think hair. Those that knows me and knows my hair. I’ve been famous for breaking brushing while combing my hair, hair pins, barrettes, even ponytail holders! Lord have mercy! My hair is like the Hulk without being green. LMAO Well these two little hairpins was able to stay, hold my hair in place when it was 3H outside working on my garden! Scale from 1-5… 5 for sure!
5- Omorovicza Cleaning Foam: This delicately scented blue cleansing foam swiftly purifies and refreshes the skin. It’s sulphate-free. It does an Okay job on removing makeup. Not so much for eye makeup. If you have sensitive skin this product is good for you. On my scale from 1-5 I’m give it 3. I’m on the fence with it.
6- Hask Unwined Provence Rose’ Deep Condition and Brut Rose’ Deep Condition. (I loved both of them. My hair is silky smooth, soft and helps with protecting my hair from harsh chemicals from dying it. I personally liked the smell from Provence Rose a little more. Scale from 1-5 they both are getting 5. I would buy these for myself and as gifts for my girls.
Well my peeps this sums up my review of box one. I’m still testing box two. Plus I have a few other beauty items I’m excited about writing soon. I hope you all enjoy my review.s Feel me to drop me a line and share with your friends, family and so on!
Have An Amazingly Bless Day!

2019 has to be better than this.... Wait it WILL BE BETTER!
I know it's been a long time that I have blogged. Truth is I really don't have any excuses expect that I have been working on myself. Although in my personal opinion I have a long road ahead of me. I had been dealing with a lot of loss in my life in recent years. From some friends lost touch to sadly deaths. In this month alone I have loss my beautiful cat Comet she was 20 years old. She was a hero. She saved my father's live a few times when he suffer problems with his heart. She always knew when to sit with anyone who was suffering from sadness, loneliness, or just needed a nudge of encouragement. I can say that she lived a full and happy life. who touch many people lives. Everyone loved her. My parents would even tell us to get off certain chairs for her to sit on lol. If you are a pet owner, parent or lover you understand what I mean.
Then one of my best friends loss his grandmother. She was in her ninety and she was "Firecracker" until the her last breath. To me she was more that my adopted Grandma but a role model. She inspired me never give up on my dreams no matter what age I'm at. She had her own style that was both classy and sassy. She never held back on speaking her mind. Didn't matter if she was giving you a good kick in the butt when you needed it or loving advice. She always shown respect and love no matter who they were. She lived through a lot history that I felt I learn more facts from her than any text book could have taught me. She was able to live long enough to meet her great-great grandchildren. I know that her beautiful family will deeply miss her a lot.
Last but not less sadly my family loss one of my favorite aunts. She was the baby sister on my mother side. My mom's best friend. Carmen was another Firecracker in my life. She had 4 beautiful children and 7 grandchildren. Honestly my aunt Carmen was like my second mother. When I hated living in Florida as a teenager I was about to live with her and her family for a few months. When my family were having a hard time in between moves she had some of us live with her in a small apartment until the house was ready for us to move in here in NYC. Even though I will not go into details, my aunt Carmen also had a hard life when it came to a certain cousin who put her whole family threw a lot hell. However she never bent the knee of gave up with all the downs that came at her and her family. No matter how back people tried to kick her down. She's one of the people who taught me strengths
The people that my heartache for the most is my mom, her husband, children and grandchildren. (as well as my sister and brother) Because she was taken too soon from a health condition that couldn't be cure. I do feel at peace know that she's not in pain anymore. I know she's a perfect peace. I will miss her. I am lucky to had her as one of my amazing aunts in my life.
Anyway, I felt I needed to get some of this out of the way. I want to start blogging and even do videos again. It's not like I have a lot to say about certain things. But I have so many ideas that I want to share. You know me I love to talk about party planing, music and friendships. :)
But as far as dating..... Honestly, that hasn't been a focus on my life in a long time. Basically, I have so many ideas and plans of where I want my life to go and dating isn't on top of my list. If I'm not happy in a relationship with myself I won't be happy with anyone else. BTW; is one of my favorite quotes. And right now I have BIG Plans and Goals that are so much more important to me. That I can't wait to check them off my bucket list!
SO remember "Focus on what makes you happy. Focus on postive goals in your life and everything else line up at the right time for YOU!"
Have a great day my peeps! Sending all much love :)

Super Heroes At Mad Hatter's Tea Party August 30, 2014
Hello my
darlings, I’m sorry it’s been over a year that I have blog anything. For there
are many reasons I can say why I've stopped, at this time I rather focus on
something happier. Hence I’m giving you the 1th installment of upcoming DIY party planning. I choice to give myself a birthday party, being that my plans didn't come through. So as I was inviting my friends and family a few people asked me what was my theme going to be? Everyone who knows me KNOWS that I love
to do themes! So as I was completing what “theme” I would do, I chose to do
something quite unique, I put two of my favorites “stories” into one party.
It was
called “Super Heroes At Mad Hatter’s Tea Party” As you watch the video you’ll
see how I set up my backyard and what extra and personal touches I did. As for
the writing I’ll be sharing some of the recipes for the sandwiches I made. As
well as information of where I got most of my stuff I've used. After doing the
math the total of the party was $230 (rounding off to higher number)
FOOD:
Dates wrap in Bacon made over 80. Wrap bacon around the
dates put in oven for about 20-25 minutes. Frist 10 minutes flip dates to other
side and let it bake another 10-15 minutes
At the
supermarket they were making fresh made Kettle
popcorn. So I bought the Extra-large bag for only $5 dollars. Normally at
fairs and carnivals they charge double the amount!
3 different
types of cookies: Rainbows (Italian Style), Butter cookies jelly filling
chocolate dip with sprinkles, and Shortbread.
I order my
cake from my favorite Bakery; Pasticceria “La Torre” in Howard
Beach. The baker John asked if he could use a different photo than the one I gave him. I told him that
I have complete faith in him and to surprise me. Well, he truly shocked me, when he found how I'm a HUGE fan of Wonder Woman and he used the perfect photo Lynda Cater when she was Wonder Woman! Both customers and staff took photos of this most beautiful
cake! The fillings were French Cream with Strawberries, yellow cake and whipped
cream frosting. I highly recommend going to this bakery everything they make is
AMAZING! (Also got some of the cookies there)
Sandwiches:
Queso Blanco + Quince Paste

Baby
Spinach with black olives and bacon cream cheese spread
Ingredients:
I used Smoke wood flavor bacon (2 things you should know; 1-used
any flavor bacon you like. 2-use the whole package! Because of bacon thieves!
Lol) Cook bacon until extra crispy.
Slice black large black olives (can) thin
2 cream cheese 8oz (Room
temperature) Mix together and keep overnight in refrigerator.
I’m not going to lied
I bought pre-wash bagged baby spinach (rewash and pat dried)
I used thick white bread and Oatmeal Bread.
I butter both each slice of bread, this help
with the cream cheese spread. (Also if
you have leftover spread and spinach it’s great on bagels)
